Kingsley’s fascination with ancient Egypt began in 1997, when he first saw the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the temples of the Nile while on assignment for South Florida’s Sun-Sentinel newspaper. After years of study, including on-site research for Queen of the Heavens, he transformed his journalistic writing skills to those of a novelist.

Kingsley started in journalism as a copy boy and secretary to the news editors at The New York Times. He was employed by the Sun-Sentinel for 30 years, including 23 years as editorial page editor. His career included assignments in the Middle East, India, Russia and China.

He now writes on a freelance basis for the Sun-Sentinel and other South Florida publications, and is a frequent guest on local radio and television shows. Kingsley currently is writing a second novel, also set in ancient Egypt.
